How to Prepare for Class
+ sessions are typically done lying down, with a comfortable blanket or cushion for underneath, and one blanket to keep you warm on top
+ dress in layers as you may have temperature fluctuations
+ if you are participating online you will need headphones
+ for online journeys you will need to have a comfortable and safe space for about 1.5hrs (unless the session is done for a special event, which will be shortened to 30 mins)
+ handy items to have is water, lip moisturizer and a journal/pen, eye mask to block out light
+ eat at least 1.5hrs before class or light eating only
Contraindications
Circular connected breathwork is an activating breath typically done through an open mouth. Speak to our trained facilitator if you have any of the following contraindications, you may be instructed to breathe through the nose only.
The following conditions are contraindications for circular connected breathwork; high blood pressure or cardiovascular issues, stroke, seizures or epilepsy, pregnancy, glaucoma or eye surgeries, recent surgeries or bone injuries, psychosis, bi-polar or on medication for mental concerns, clinical anxiety, asthma or respiratory issues.
You should not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during breathwork.
